On May 26, 2026, Ph.D. candidate in linguistic anthropology Bri Alexander successfully defended her dissertation titled “All Our Renewals: Reimagining Shawnee Land and Language Practices as Cycles of Relationality and Renewal.”
Her advisor, Prof. Jillian Cavanaugh, and the Graduate Center PhD Anthropology Program wish Dr. Alexander some well-deserved rest and success in all her future endeavors!
